Orthopaedics

The Department of Orthopaedics is dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, and management of disorders of the bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons, and spine. The department offers comprehensive orthopaedic care including trauma services, joint replacement surgeries, arthroscopy, spine surgeries, paediatric orthopaedics, sports injuries, and rehabilitation services.

In addition to clinical services, the department plays an active role in undergraduate medical education by providing bedside teaching, case discussions, surgical skill development, and research exposure. Emphasis is placed on evidence-based practice, multidisciplinary collaboration, and continuous academic advancement.

The department functions with a vision to deliver excellence in orthopaedic education, research, and patient-centred care while nurturing skilled, ethical, and compassionate orthopaedic surgeons.

Postgraduate MS program commenced in the Department of Orthopaedics from the academic year 2025.

• Skills lab for hands-on training and fracture fixation simulation.
