Dr. Kalaniti is a distinguished physician of repute.
He completed his MBBS from Stanley Medical College and did his MD from Madras Medical College.
He had earlier served the Tamil Nadu Medical Services and has held various senior academic positions including Dean of Government Mohan KumaraMangalam Medical College, Salem, Coimbatore Medical College, Coimbatore and at Madras Medical College, Madras.
He was awarded Life time Achievement Award by the Tamil Nadu Dr.MGR Medical University/Government of Tamil Nadu.
He was the Past President of the Indian Medical Association and Association of Physicians of India.
Further he has held the positions of Dean at Karuna Medical College, Palakkad, Kerala and at Karpagam Faculty of Medical Sciences and Research,Coimbatore for more than nine years. He is an accomplished visionary leader in medical academics, with over 15 years of administrative experience.
He was the Director of Medical Services (DME), Government of Tamil Nadu, and relinquished official charge on his retirement from Government Service.
He has been instrumental in conceptualizing, planning and execution of several developmental programmes. He has put to use his foresight and directional leadership in setting up and stabilizing several medical institutions in his long professional career.
As the Director of Medical Education, KMCH IHSR, he contributes significantly in ensuring that KMCH Institute of Health Sciences and Research marches on to fulfilling its goals and vision.
