Pathology
The Department of Pathology at KMCHIHSR plays a vital role in medical education, diagnostics, and research. Over the years, the department has grown steadily, achieving excellence in academics while expanding its diagnostic and research capabilities.
The department offers comprehensive learning opportunities for undergraduate medical students by integrating theoretical knowledge with practical diagnostic exposure. Students are trained by experienced faculty. Emphasis is placed on understanding disease mechanisms, interpreting diagnostic investigations, and correlating pathological findings with clinical scenarios.
The faculty are committed to delivering high-quality laboratory and blood bank services to both inpatients and outpatients, ensuring credibility, accuracy, and adherence to ethical standards. Alongside routine diagnostic and teaching responsibilities, faculty members actively participate in and lead ongoing research projects. To ensure continuous academic enrichment, the department regularly conducts interdepartmental teaching programs, student seminars, and clinicopathological conferences.
Postgraduate MD program commenced in the Department of Pathology from the academic year 2025.
